We can have a server on site to attempt within an hour, if necessary. We offer routine, rush and emergency service rates.

Our servers will generally attempt anytime between 7am and 10 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 8am – 6pm. We can arrange to attempt earlier or later which would be charged on a per attempt basis. We will adjust attempt times depending on the type of location. For example, when serving at a home, a server will try to attempt later in the evening or earlier in the morning to catch someone before or after they work.

No, the subject does not sign any paperwork. Instead, the server will sign an affidavit or a sworn statement stating the subject was served. We will also file that with the court for you in most cases.

Yes, we can! The only places a process server cannot legally serve someone is on Indian Reservation and Federal land, such as US Postal Office and several Military bases. (We can still serve at and inside of a court)

Yes, we offer a stake out/scheduled service where the server will wait at a location for your subject.

Yes, we can! For documents that must be personally served, we would recommend a stake out or a scheduled service. This is a type of service where a server will wait for a subject to enter or leave a property, sometimes during a custody exchange of children or at a pre-arranged meeting where the subject is not aware that a server will be there. Other types of documents will allow for “alternative service” such as posting on the front entrance of the usual place of abode. However, it is required that you attempt serving the subject before getting an “alternative” method of service.

We do not contact you between attempts while a server is still attempting. Once we have a final status update, we will contact you and let you know if your documents have been served. You can always call us at 206.305.3692 ro email weservelegal@gmail.com and we will let you know what the status of your serve is.

Once the documents are served, we will send you a notification email and follow up with an “Affidavit of Service”. The affidavit is a sworn statement signed by the process server declaring legal service has been completed. We will email you a copy of the affidavit and file the affidavit with the court for you in most cases.

If we are unable to serve your documents, we can provide you with an affidavit of non-service. This affidavit will show the server’s attempt times and details of each attempt. Depending on the type of documents you have, you can use this affidavit to petition the court for alternative methods of service. Our office can suggest various methods of alternative service that would be applicable to your case.

Depending on the documents, “sub-service” to a co-resident of suitable age at the usual place of abode may be allowed. This is not the case for service at a place of employment, unless an alternative method of service has been authorized by the court.

We offer a locate service where we find a home address for your subject. Once we find a home address, we will quote you to attempt. There is no guarantee that we can find an address for you, however, if we are not able to find an address, our office will provide you with an affidavit of non-service describing the findings during the investigation. You may use this affidavit to petition the court for alternative service.

We charge a flat rate per address we attempt at and cover a certain number of attempts at the location. We also offer a stake out service which we charge an hourly rate for. The amount you pay will depend will include an affidavit, mileage and a notary (for the affidavit), if necessary.

We can take cash, card, or check. You can pay online through our document submission portal or you can email us the documents and request a link for payment as well. We also have drop off locations which can be found here.

Routine service is assigned out to a server within 2-3 business days of receipt of the documents and payment. All attempts are generally completed within 2 weeks.

The server will make attempts at their discretion and based on the information provided by the client. Requested attempt times provided by the client are appreciated but are not binding. For specific attempt times or restricted attempt times, we would recommend a stake out or a scheduled service.

Next Day service is assigned out the next day of receipt of the documents and payment. All attempts are generally completed within 1 week.

The server will make attempts at their discretion and based on information provided by the client. Requested attempt times provided by the client are appreciated but are not binding. For specific attempt times or restricted attempt times, we would recommend a stake out or a scheduled service.

Recommended for evictions, orders of protection, injunctions against harassment, orders to appear, emergency custody, judgement debtor exams or any document with a deadline in the next 10 days.

One attempt at a specific time/day and reserves the server for one hour. Recommended for subjects who will avoid service.

An attempt will consist of a process server making a diligent effort to contact a subject at a given location. Usually that will look like a server driving to a location, knocking on a door or ringing a doorbell multiple times and collecting relevant information of the subject and location. Generally, a server will not remain on site for longer than 10 minutes unless other arrangements have been made such as a “Stake Out Service”. Most of our services cover multiple attempts at a single location.
